Ranges generally assume excellent original condition unless a row states otherwise. Dealer purchase offers and consignment proceeds differ from retail value.

Condition And Originality

Model, soundhole configuration, original top, neck angle, bridge and tailpiece affect value. Tenor versions need their own range. Flat-top conversions and replacement-top guitars require separate appraisal based on the builder, work and surviving original material. The scarce F-9 range is approximate.

For the broader comparison, read how repairs and changed parts affect guitar value. If the finish has been changed, the refinish value guide explains full and partial work and why an acoustic needs its own assessment.
