Condition And Originality

Neck angle, remaining saddle height, bridge and bridge-plate condition affect value. Refinished or heavily repaired guitars need individual appraisal. Check every back panel and both sides on a D12-35; a Brazilian center panel alone does not establish an all-Brazilian body. D-35S six-string guitars use a separate value range.

For the broader comparison, read how repairs and changed parts affect guitar value. If the finish has been changed, the refinish value guide explains full and partial work and why an acoustic needs its own assessment.
