Here is an absolutely stellar, crack free Brazilian D-28 from 1958 that sounds like a choir angels! The guitar is incredibly articulate and sounds fantastic at any volume from whisper low to bluegrass lead loud, and yes it can get LOUD! Without a doubt, the loudest dred to come into the shop this year, the guitar is an absolute cannon that can be played by the heaviest handed picker and still ask for more. The headroom is unreal. The guitar is also incredibly well suited to fingerpicking thanks to its amazing responsiveness and sensitivity. The guitar seems to want to vibrate at the slightest touch. This is truly a do-it-all guitar that is sure to be a cherished heirloom piece for its new owner. The guitar has some period appropriate wear throughout as well as a professional refret. A neck reset was performed in the past and a fingerboard extension was used to mitigate any fallaway. The reset was very well done. The guitars current action is .16in on the bass side and .11in on the treble. There is a fair bit of saddle protruding if the buyer were to want lower action than that. The guitar has NO cracks, NO belly, NO repairs, and is all original aside from the frets. Comes with newer martin custom shop case that protects the guitar very well. Ships promptly and fully insured.
