Joe’s a good guy. Had him set up my Les Paul and Gretsch and he did a superb job. Look forward to coming back to him again in the future.

Selling my parents’ guitars that sat up in the attic for years was very easy. I sent pictures to Joe, and he got back to me with an appraisal in just a few minutes. His instructions for shipping the guitars to AZ were very simple and did not cost me a thing. After leaving FedEx, I received my payment in about 15 minutes! Thank you, Joe, for everything.

Meet Vintage Guitar Expert, Joe Dampt

Professional Buyer and Seasoned Collector of Vintage Guitars

Hey there! My name is Joe Dampt and I love old music and old guitars!

I fell in love with the guitar as a youngster while listening to old music from the 50s and 60s. From then on, music has been my life, and I’ve sacrificed and worked hard to make music and musical instruments my livelihood. I love old guitars and musical instruments, but I love the MUSIC even more. I believe that guitars don’t do us any good if they just sit in a case. These beauties are meant to be played!

I’ve performed in many local bands and my favorite styles to play are classic country/western music, swing & dance music, and classic rock & roll.

FAQs About Our Guitar Resale Services

There are several things that I take into consideration when determining the price of your guitar. These include your instrument’s age, how unique it is, if it belong to anyone famous, and the condition of the guitar itself. All of those things combined will dictate what you will pay or be paid for it.

There is not a set answer for this. It depends on a number of things – like if I have something that you might want to trade for or if the guitar is in good enough shape or valuable enough. I will approach each scenario carefully and will give you a detailed answer as to why or why not this can happen.
I generally prefer to work in cash when it comes to buying and selling, but if there is a reasonable alternative, I will gladly listen to any suggestions that you might have. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to work with your payment method, but it never hurts to ask first. I look forward to working with you!
This usually depends on what state you are buying or selling from. Typically, the buyer is the one who pays the shipping tax, not the seller. Be sure to inquire about this before sending any payment. It’s my goal to have a smooth transaction on all ends. Thanks for taking a look!
Yes. If you find that the guitar was damaged while shipping or soon after with normal use, we will work something out so that you are completely satisfied. I want you to be able to enjoy playing the guitar as much as I do and having this sort of protection will put your mind at ease.
