I bought this guitar from Wayne Thompson, out of Memphis, TN. He bought the guitar in 1965 in a pawn shop. When he bought it, it had the serial number scratched off. He has been the owner since, and has played it in many rock bands! In the early 60s, he was a member of “Tommy Burk and The Counts” , a band that had a few regional hits.

The guitar sports 3 original, wonderful sounding PAF pickups and all original electronics. The bridge and knobs are original. The guitar has a non original Bigsby, which looks killer, in my opinion, but the guitar could also easily be reverted to the original stop tail configuration. The original tailpiece is not present. The guitar has the original frets, which are low from the factory and do have some wear, but it does still play great! Most folks do opt to refret these to their preference as the “fretless wonder” frets are not very well liked by most players. The guitar has replaced tuners, with 60s Grover Imperials, there are a few small spots of chipping by some of the tuner ferrules. The upper strap button was very slightly relocated. The guitar comes with the brown and pink case. The guitar weighs in at a very reasonable 9.69lbs. This is a killer vintage Les Paul with a killer sound, all original where it counts! And a great price and history! Jump on it while it lasts!
