One Owner! Fender Telecaster 1959 – Blonde

This fantastic tele was acquired from the daughter of the original owner, who was more of an acoustic player and evidently did not play this one much! Consequently, this guitar is in great shape for its age, with very little finish wear, no fret wear and no issues whatsoever. This guitar is 100% original and comes with the original knuckle buster case as well as the original key and Telecaster model sheet from Fender. There is some light finish wear throughout and two very small surface blemishes on the back of the neck. The pickguard is lifting a little bit on the sides as is common with the 5 screw pickguards.

This tele has THE perfect bridge pickup in my opinion. It has that thunky, percussive kind of hollow twang that is not an assault to the ears like some of the later teles. The neck pickup is glassy, musical and sounds beautiful, it is a lovely compliment to the bridge pickup, and overall, this guitar is full of fantastic, usable and beautiful tones that cannot be replicated by a modern instrument.

The neck on this tele is very interesting. It may be the most aggressive taper I have ever felt on any vintage Fender instrument. It goes from 1.67in Wide/.81in Deep at the nut to 2.05in Wide/.99in deep at the 12th. A very interesting neck indeed, and one that I quite enjoy! The feel at the lower frets is fast and I find myself wanting to do a lot of pull off and open string stuff in the cowboy chord area, but the neck gets roomy feeling and lends itself nicely to more precise lead work as you go a little ways up the neck. I like it, and I think most tele aficionados will too!

The guitar weighs 7.04lbs and is well balanced. It is resonant when unplugged and is really a joy to play. It is a top loader, as is common from 58-60! Grab this all original one owner gem while its still around! Ships promptly, pro packed and fully insured.
