Martin 000-28 1965 – Brazilian Rosewood, Tortoise Guard!

This one is a real dream to sit and play! The 000 size sits so nicely between a smaller bodied guitar and a dred! It is comfortable on the lap and sounds wonderful fingerpicked, but don’t write it off for flatpicking either! Its a canon! It’s real hard to find a Brazilian 14 fret 000, and when you do, it seems like they are always 1969 models with the black pickguard (and I have to say, I really feel like the mid 60s Martins always seem to feel and sound better than the 68s and 69s too!) This one sounds divine, with all of the vintage woody warmth, sparkle, and tight bass that you’d expect from a Brazilian Martin form this era!

This 000 is in nice shape overall, with NO CRACKS at all and just some honest play wear, like pick/fingernail marks, finish checking, and some medium fret wear in cowboy chord area. It comes with the original case, which has all functioning latches, but has a taped up section on the outside. All in all, this is a well cared for honest example that is all original and crack free. The neck was professionally reset just a week ago and it is ready to go with a new bone saddle and a perfect neck angle. It is currently set up with medium low action, but you can get it as low as you want!
