An vibey example of a late-’50s Gretsch classic, this 1959 Country Gentleman embodies everything collectors and players love about vintage Gretsch guitars—refined looks, rich tone, and effortless playability. There’s a reason Chet played one of these for years!

This guitar is 100% original throughout, down to the hardware, electronics, and finish. The original dark walnut lacquer has aged beautifully, showing just the right amount of vintage character. As with many Gretsches of this era, there is some typical body binding deterioration, but the neck binding remains clean and intact, a rare and welcome detail for a ’50s Gent.

It has been professionally refretted, offering excellent playability up and down the neck. There are a few small areas of minor fretboard chipping from the refret, but nothing that affects feel or function.

The original Filter’Tron pickups sound superb, delivering that unmistakable Gretsch clarity and warmth—snappy, articulate, and harmonically rich. The electronics function perfectly, and the neck is smooth and comfortable with that classic late-’50s feel.

Includes the original hardshell case, also in very good condition.
