Gibson Medallion Flying V 1971 – Cherry – 6.59 LBS!

We acquired this wonderful instrument from the brother of the original owner right here in Mesa, Arizona! This is a very nice example, especially the vibrant cherry red finish that has not faded like many of them have. In addition, the frets are in fantastic shape with just a tiny bit of wear and the guitar plays incredibly well. The weight is also very attractive on this one: Just 6.59lbs!

This guitar is all original minus the tuners, which were swapped for some vintage Grovers long ago. The electronics are all original. The original owners name and location have been written on the back of the pickguard, and it does look like the covers may have been off at some point as the solder holding the covers on is a little sloppier than most factory solder jobs. All in all, this is a very clean, original and complete example! It comes with the original hard case, but it is missing the medallion. This guitar is simply a joy to play!
