Gibson Dove 1965 – Sunburst (Gibson Factory Refin/Work)

This guitar was purchased from the daughter of the original owner. It went back to Gibson at some point for some work, where it was refinished and given a new bridge, fingerboard, tuners, and truss rod cover. The work is unmistakably Gibson factory work (likely late 70s/early 80s judging by the bridge, ebony board, and binding style.). The fixed bridge, is in my estimation, an upgrade, as the original tune o matic units were not the best sounding, or most reliable. The board is now ebony (introduced in 1968 on the dove.) and it feels fantastic. The body and neck wood are the original 1965 spruce, maple and mahogany, making for a fantastic vintage tone. The Dove pickguard is the original from 1965! The guitar has a perfect neck angle and plays wonderfully with medium low action, and room to lower as low as you want. The sound is wonderful with tons of resonance and responsiveness. This is a great chance to get a wonderful vintage Dove without breaking the bank!
