One Owner! Fender Stratocaster 1965 – Sunburst

Just acquired from the family of the original owner in Taos, New Mexico! This Strat absolutely rocks! It was clearly well taken care of over the years as it remains in very nice shape overall and is all original minus the pickguard. The pickguard appears to be either original and missing the shield, or a very good older reproduction. The finish is all original

The pickups on this guitar are fantastic! The neck pickup rings like a bell and responds magically to playing dynamics. The bridge is ballsy with plenty of twang when clean and a lovely cutting overdrive when overdriven. The in between positions have that classic strat quack. The neck is straight and the truss rod works great and is in amazing shape. The guitar plays with low action and no buzz. There is some light fret wear on the lower frets, but there is no fretting out or any playability issues. The fretboard is a beautiful dark Brazilian rosewood. This one definitely checks all of the boxes for a 65! Comes with the original hard case in rather nice condition! Ships promptly, pro packed and fully insured. Weighs 7.53lbs
