Fender Telecaster 1960 – Blonde

This one is an absolute GEM! It weighs in at a Breezy 6.54lbs and is has wonderful resonant tone even when unplugged. The pickups sound wonderful; with a twangy, but not too ice picky bridge pickup and a hollow, percussive neck pickup that is very expressive. The original wiring allows for the middle position to be accessed, but only if you balance the switch in between the positions, as this has the vintage style tele wiring. This guitar just has THE FEEL, with a killer chunky neck for the era and a fantastic tone and playability.

The guitar is 100% original, but both pickups have been professionally rewound by Jim Rolph. The electronics and al hardware are original, as is the case. The guitar has a fairly substantial neck that feels smooth and worn in as well as a gorgeous dark Brazilian Rosewood fretboard. There us a little bit of finish discoloration on the back of the guitar from where a sticker or the like used to be. There is also plenty of vibey wear all throughout the guitar, but no repairs or breaks of any kind. The original case works great, but has some wear and rust on it. The frets are original and there is some moderate wear in the “cowboy chord” area. There is no fretting our or playability issues, the guitar plays with low action and no buzzing. This tele is a top loader rather than string through, fairly common for this era.

I’m sure that the new owner will be very pleased with this wonderful instrument. Its not often that you see a slab board tele, so jump on this one while you can!
